T&E Care respects the confidentiality of our local neighbors who are struggling through difficult times. Therefore we don't run regular events specifically involving the families. But we do have a few events in which we really need lots of community involvement because we are able to keep the identity of the families getting assistance confidential. These events are listed below. If you can help with any of these events - please let us know! We'll figure out a way to get you involved.

Each year T&E Care volunteers help to provide dinners at both Thanksgiving and Christmas for 8 local families (8 families for each of the holidays). Each family receives the food needed for a complete holiday meal, plus a few extra bags of fresh produce, basic staples, and other special goodies. We thank those who offer to help each year to make this special event happen!
Dinner is cooked on Wednesday, November 27.
Cooking takes place at The Kitchen Workshop in Paoli, from 10-1. Thanks Art for sharing your facility with us again this year!
Thanks to the Amana Foundation for providing 8 bags of fresh produce for these dinners, and to the Hayden Family for baking 8 pies! Many others provided turkeys, and bags of staples and other special treats.
Thanks to Cindy Gilroy for organizing this event, and to all those who gave up time at a busy time of year to help with the cooking and delivering of food.
It looks like we have enough volunteers and bags of food at this time. If you would like to offer help - contact Cindy at email@example.com and see if there is anything else needed.
Because everyone celebrates this holiday differently, food is not cooked for these dinners - we just collect the items and let the families do the cooking on the date they want.
Melanie Bradish and Tammy Small will be organizing this year's event.
Donations will be received and sorted on Friday, December 20, from 3:30-5:30. Location TBD.
Items needed include (for each of the 8 families):
turkey or ham
a bag of items including: eggs, butter, cheese, bread/bagels, peanut butter, jelly, tuna, cereal, pancake mix, syrup, granola bars, pasta, jar sauce, etc. (Please, no canned soups or vegetables.) Please pack these items in a reusable bag as they are much less likely to rip in transportation.
The spring 2014 Grab Bag will be held March 28-29, 2014 at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church of Valley Forge on Walker Rd (down the street from Glenhardie Country Club). Clothes will be collected starting in mid March at various sites around the community. Please check our website (www.tecare.org) for details on times. This event is open to the entire community, with proceeds to support T&E Care's programs.
